Reimagining Jewish Cuisine: Inviting Tradition and Innovation to the Table
Food has played a central role in Jewish traditions since Abraham and Sarah welcomed and fed guests in their tent. As Jews moved throughout the world, our culinary traditions evolved and adapted to changing climates, cultures, and crops.  Join Jewish foodies and cookbook authors Liz Alpern (The Gefilte Manifesto) and Leah Koenig (Modern Jewish Cooking) for a discussion on how they draw from the traditions, adaptability, and resourcefulness of their ancestors to infuse new life into Jewish cuisine.  The session will be moderated by Jewish Farm School director and lover of food Nati Passow.

Executive Director, Jewish Farm School
Nati Passow is the Executive Director of the Jewish Farm School.  He lives in West Philly with if partner Rachel, their two kids Zamir and Niso, and an ever-changing collection of friends and family.  He is working with neighbors to create an urban food forest, vegetable garden, and children's play space, and believes in the idea that waste equals food.
