Ami Yares is a songwriter, educator and community builder. He has an extensive background in peace building via music and modern inceptions of social-conscious folk music. Today, Ami channels his passion for the arts on stage as well as through public policy research. This spring, Ami will be finishing his masters in Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania while continuing to help run the Philadelphia Shir Singing Circle, perform nationally and regionally and continue increase access to all forms of art in Philadelphia.
